Global Developments and Saudi Arabia's Commitment to Peace
Minister of Media, Salman Al-Dossary, revealed that the Cabinet reviewed the latest international developments and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to regional and global peace. The Kingdom also supports political solutions to global crises and advocates for multilateral cooperation to tackle global challenges.
Support for the Palestinian Cause and UN Initiatives
The Cabinet welcomed the United Nations General Assembly's resolution calling for an end to the illegal occupation of Palestinian territories. The session stressed the need for concrete steps to achieve a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and international resolutions.
Kingdom's Leading Role in Global Initiatives
The Cabinet highlighted the Kingdom's successful bid to lead the International Coral Reef Initiative, showcasing its dedication to marine biodiversity and ecosystem protection. Additionally, Saudi Arabia's achievements in e-government development and tourism were praised, further solidifying its leadership on the global stage as part of Vision 2030.
Cabinet Decisions and MoU Approvals
The Cabinet approved several significant decisions, including the amended protocol for the Saudi-Turkish coordination council, and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Saudi Export Development Authority and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority. Additional agreements include cooperation with Venezuela, Albania, Panama, and France in areas of investment, environmental protection, and public-private partnerships.
