The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman offered Eid prayers at Makkah's Grand Mosque on Monday.
The King is praying at the Grand Mosque in Makkah for the first time since the pandemic struck the world in 2020.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was received at the Royal Court of Al-Safa Palace by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region, and Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prince Badr bin Sultan, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, and Prince Abdulaziz bin Sau
Colonel Rachel Sharif, retired military commander of the Islamic Military Coalition to Combat Terrorism, performed Eid prayers with the King.
At Al-Safa Palace in Makkah, King Salman received princes, scholars, sheikhs, and senior civilian and military officials after prayer. He was congratulated on Eid Al-Fitr by his friends.
Arab and Muslim leaders also congratulated the monarch via phone. Asking them to celebrate Eid with him, King Salman thanked them.
As well as greeting the Saudi people and Muslims everywhere, he thanked Allah because they had "completed their fasting and worshiping during Ramadan comfortably and successfully."
