The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia explained that the Exit Re-Entry visa cannot be modified, but it can be canceled.

Jawazat stated via its Twitter account that, If the exit and return visa is issued, you cannot amend it, but can be cancelled via "Absher" platform of the Employer. If the visa is cancelled, the visa fee is not refundable.

- This response came to an inquiry from a resident expatriate who got 2 month exit re-entry visa, He asked : Can it be extended by the sponsor? or should it be cancelled and issue another visa for a longer period of time? Noting, He has a resident permit of one year from now.

- If some does not leave on Exit re-Entry visa during its validity period, A fine of 1000 SR is imposed to be able to cancel the visa after its expiry, However, during its validity the cancellation is free.

- Regarding the duration of exit and return visas, If specified in months (60, 90, 120 days), their validity is 3 months for travel from the date of issue and the visa period is calculated from the date of travel, Either if it is specified in days or back before, it is calculated from the date of issue.
