According to Astronomer Ade Al-Marzouq, the holy month of Ramadan will begin in the Gulf and Arab countries including Saudi Arabia and Kuwait on 23rd March (Thursday) in 2023.
Furthermore, Al-Marzouq predicted that Ramadan 2023 would last for 29 days, and Eid Al-Fitr in 2023 would fall on Friday, 21st April.
Muslims abstain from food and drink during daylight hours during Ramadan as a form of spiritual discipline. Every day, the fast begins at dawn and ends at sunset.
During this holy month, people are encouraged to pray and read the Quran, increase charitable giving, and reflect on their lives.
Ramadan is divided into three parts, each with its own spiritual significance.
1. The first 10 days - Rahmah (Mercy of Allah)
2. The middle 10 days - Maghfirah (Forgiveness of Allah) and
3. The last 10 days also known as al-Ayyaam al-Aakhirah - Nijat (Safety from the Hellfire).
