Human Resources Department Identifies And Warns Against 13 Examples Of Human Trafficking

In Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) has warned against human trafficking, stating that it is a crime punishable by law, as it involves using, transporting, recruiting, harboring, or receiving people to abuse them.

According to the HR ministry, there are 13 examples of human trafficking, including

1. Unobligated fees or costs are charged to the worker.

2. Forcing the worker to work.

3. Using a worker without a written or reliable contract of employment.

4. Influence or position abuse.

5. Conducting medical experiments or removing organs.

6. A failure by the company to comply with the Saudi Labor Law regarding employee vacations.

7. Brokering or selling work visas.

8. Passport seizure.

9. Forcing and threats.

10. Misuse the worker for begging.

11. Mistreating a worker.

12. Defrauding the worker.

13.Saudi Labor Law Article 167 prohibits the employment of children under the age of 15 years.
