For The Extension Of Multiple Entry Visit Visas, Departure Is Mandatory
Category: Visit Visa

A rumor about multiple entry visas for family visits without leaving the Kingdom has been denied by the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat).

In order to extend the multiple entry family visit visa, the Jawazat reiterated that all visa and departure regulations must be followed before the visa expires, including leaving the Kingdom after three months. The violator will be fined three days after the departure date if the departure is delayed.

Earlier this week, Jawazat said rumors were circulating that it was possible to extend the multiple entry family visit visa seven days before its expiration date via Absher (individuals and businesses) without adhering to the departure regulations. This is completely untrue and baseless.

According to Jawazat, extending the multiple family visit visa requires compliance with the visa and departure regulations before the visa expires, and violators will face a fine three days after the expiration date.

In regards to the single-entry family visit visa, the Jawazat stated that it can be extended by fulfilling a number of conditions through the host's Absher account (individuals/businesses) seven days before its expiry. To complete the procedure, the visitor must have valid medical insurance based on the specific conditions of the service, and the extension period cannot exceed 180 days.
