EXPATS DEPORTED WITH HUROOB STATUS ARE BAN FOR LIFETIME

The Directorate General of Passports (Jawazat) has reportedly said that any expatriate employee reported Huroob status by his employer (runaway worker or absconder) would face a fine of SR 50,000 with six months imprisonment, and that he would also be deported from the Kingdom and would not be able to enter the country again, local media reports.
Jawazat also said that the employer simply cannot cancel the huroob status himself through his Absher account online.
To cancel the huroob status from his worker, the employer will have to approach Jawazat in person within 15 days of the huroob status reported.
