In Saudi Arabia, the Public Security and Jawazat have warned employers who allow their workers to work for others or for their own benefit, as these actions attract imprisonment and heavy fines.
According to the authorities, such employers could face a maximum fine of 100,000 riyals and a jail term of up to 6 months, including a 5-year recruitment ban.
According to Article 39 of the Saudi Labor Law, employers must not allow their employees to work for others and workers must not work for other employers or sponsors.
