Eid-Al-Fitr in Saudi Arabia is most likely to fall on Sunday (24th May), According to the calculations based on astronomy, one could determine when the dates or months on Hijri calendar fall said General Supervisor at Sharjah Planetarium, Ebrahim Al Jarwan to Gulf News.

Ramadan in the year 2020 (1441) started on April 24th, According to the estimation, This year Ramadan is going to complete 30 days and Eid-Al-Fitr would most likely to fall on 24th May.

- He said, The new moon for the month of Shawwal 1441 AH will be on 22nd May after sunset, but it will not visible with naked eye, So as per the calculations, it can be seen on the next day 23rd May, So, Eid-Al-Fitr will fall on 24th May this year, which is Sunday.

- However, Eid-Al-Fitr in Saudi Arabia will be decided only after moon sighting, It would be on 23rd May or 24th May, If the moon is sighted on 22nd May, Eid will fall on 23rd May, In case the moon is sighted on 23rd May, Eid-Al-Fitr will be celebrated on 24th May.

- The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia announced 4 days holidays on Eid-Al-Fitr from 23rd May to 26th May for all private sector workers, while for public sector it started on 14th May and will end on 31st May.

- The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia announced 24 Hours Complete curfew all over the Kingdom during Eid-Al-Fitr holidays that is from 23rd May to 27th May. Earlier this, Ministry imposes hefty penalties on those violating the measures taken to prevent the spread of corona virus including social distancing and gatherings.
