Category: Crime News

A Saudi court has handed down a verdict sentencing 11 Pakistani expatriates to seven years in prison each for their involvement in financial fraud. Additionally, the court has ruled that they will be deported after serving their jail terms, according to a statement from the Public Prosecution.

The Financial Fraud division of the Public Prosecution recently concluded an investigation into the illicit activities of these 11 Pakistani nationals, who had been apprehended on charges of financial fraud. The investigation revealed that the individuals in question had perpetrated financial fraud schemes by sending text messages to unsuspecting victims, engaging in telephonic communication to persuade them to update their bank information. Subsequently, they would illicitly obtain personal information, using it to gain access to victims' bank accounts and pilfer their funds.

The Public Prosecution reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding financial assets from all manifestations of criminal activity. It emphasized its determination to bring individuals involved in financial fraud to justice, with the intention of imposing severe penalties.
