Why Will Infant Formula And Diaper Companies Be Harmed In The Near Future?
Category: Information

Specialized experts expect a decrease in birth rates this year as a result of the Corona virus epidemic, which puts pressure on the major companies that produce milk, baby food and diapers, according to what was revealed by the economic newspaper, The Wall Street Journal.

Barclays Bank expects that births in China will decrease by 8% this year, while the Brookings Institution estimates that births in the United States could shrink by half a million, and the reason for this is due to recession-related effects.

Steep decline

This comes at a time when birth rates in the United States and China are already at their lowest levels on record.

The steep fall in the number of births this year means that the major companies focusing on products related to babies and children will have fewer parents buying milk for their babies. As a result, other companies selling products such as diapers could see a significant drop in sales, which could result in losses of billions of dollars.

According to the newspaper, financial analysts and executives believe that the decrease in the number of newcomers to life (newborns) may cause problems for manufacturers of products related to children and infants, and this may lead to the development of new lines and shift their focus to other products.
