To Make Things Easier For Travelers, Riyadh Airport Is Using Faceprints Instead Of Boarding Passes
Category: Travel

(Smart Travel Journey) a Digital Path is being tested at King Khalid International Airport, allowing travelers to be identified by their digital faceprint instead of by their boarding passes.

As part of its partnership with SITA, Riyadh Airports has conducted the Digital Path trial, a seamless journey for passengers that is viewed as a key factor in changing Riyadh Airport into a smart airport.

SITA FacePod's Smart Path solution enables efficient biometric enrolment through just looking into its camera, so travelers can enroll their biometric data quickly and use their faces as their own boarding passes. Thanks to the SITA Smart Path, it seamlessly integrates with the Flex Check-in platform.

Additionally, it will reduce the boarding time by at least 20% and enhance the passenger experience by allowing them to enjoy the airport facilities as they travel through the airport while speeding up the process..

- Riyadh Airports in its official tweet said "In an important step to transform the Riyadh Airport into a smart airport in which we seek to reach customer satisfaction, Riyadh Airport has succeeded in implementing the 'smart travel journey' experience in King Khalid International Airport by working with global company SITA. The process recognizes passengers' digital face prints without the need for travel documents.
