In Saudi Arabia, the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) clarified the instructions for those who left on an exit re-entry visa and did not return for three years from entry.
The official Twitter handle of Saudi Jawazat received an inquiry from one of its followers, asking, "Can an expat worker return after 4 years have passed, knowing he left Saudi Arabia on re-entry visa and didn't return, but his Iqama number indicates he is Absent From Work."
As a result, the Saudi Passports department clarified that the ban period of three years on failing to return on exit re-entry visa does not apply to the same or current employer with a new visa.
In addition, Jawazat explained that the ban period of 3 years is calculated from the expiry date of the exit re-entry visa, and the Hijri date should be taken into account when calculating the period.
Jawazat now allows Inquiries about Border Number through Absher platform :
Through Absher accounts, Saudi Jawazat now offers the possibility of inquiring about the border number without visiting their offices.
Through its official Twitter handle, the Jawazat said citizens of the GCC states and visitors of Saudi Arabia can inquire about their border number without visiting passport departments. Now that Absher's electronic platform is available, it is possible to inquire about this.
