All Muslims throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are urged to view the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan on Friday night, 29 Shaban 1443 AH. This corresponds to April 1, 2022.

According to the Supreme Court, anyone who sees the crescent of Ramadan with the naked eye or through binoculars must report it to the nearest court and register his testimony.

In Saudi Arabia, the ministries and authorities have made significant preparations and efforts to ensure the success of Ramadan operations.

On Sunday, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques completed periodic maintenance on Kaaba Kiswa in preparation for Ramadan.

For the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Education has approved revised timing for all public and private schools.

From 9 to 10 in the morning, the school day would start at the flexible time. Classroom time will be 35 minutes long.

For the year 2022-1443, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) clarified that the working hours in the private sector establishments during Ramadan will be 6 hours per day.

Additionally, the ritual itikaf will resume at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan following a hiatus of two years.

The Presidency has also launched an online portal to provide guidelines and registration facilities to the prospective worshippers who wish to perform itikaf.

For non-governmental organizations and societies that are under the ministry's technical supervision for the implementation of the iftar meal projects during the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance had issued earlier a series of guidelines and regulations.
