Eng Ahmed Al-Rajhi, Saudi Arabia's Minister for Human Resources and Social Development, announced that the ministry plans to Saudize 30 job professions by 2022, including finance professionals and project managers.
A total of over 400,000 jobs were created by Saudi Arabia for young Saudi citizens in 2021:
The ministry launched 32 Saudization decisions in the year 2021, and 400,000 jobs were created, Al-Rajhi revealed during the press conference on Wednesday. Furthermore, he stated that they are working on qualitative localization rather than simply quantitative localization, covering professions such as accountants, lawyers, teachers, marketers, medical doctors, dentists and engineers.
In addition, he stated that they started with the aim of providing 200,000 jobs last year, but they have doubled the number of jobs to 400,000 for men and women. 10 billion riyals will be spent to support Saudi employment in the private sector in 2021, according to the minister.
In Saudi Arabia, there are more than 1,900,000 young men and women employed, which is a historic figure. According to the government, 1,800,000 new jobs will be created through the mega projects in the Kingdom.
A key objective of the labor market strategy is to increase the rate of Saudi citizens participating in the economy, which was 40% and is now 50%, with the goal of reaching 60% by 2030.
Participation of Women's in the Saudi Labor Market:
During the initial stages of Saudi Vision 2030, around 21% of women participated in labor markets. Now, their share has exceeded 32%, and the vision has been achieved before the target date of 2030.
