According to Saudi Arabia's Energy Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) discovered two unconventional natural gas fields in its Eastern province.
As a result of the flow of gas from the well (Awtad-108001) at a rate of 10 million standard cubic feet per day and 740 barrels of condensate, the unconventional natural gas field "Awtad" was discovered southwest of the Ghawar field, 142 kilometers southwest of Hofouf.
According to him, 16.9 million standard cubic feet of gas and 165 barrels of condensate were flowing from the well (Awtad-100921).
It was discovered 230 kilometers south of Dhahran, west of the city, that the unconventional natural gas field "Al-Dahna" flows at 8.1 million standard cubic feet per day from the well (Al-Dahna-4) and at 17.5 million standard cubic feet per day from the well (Al-Dahna-370100), along with 362 barrels of capacitors.
According to the Minister, the importance of these discoveries lies in strengthening the Kingdom's natural gas reserves, which are crucial to achieving the kingdom's liquid fuel displacement goals.
