The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has officially announced the dates for Arafat Day and Eid Al-Adha. Arafat Day will take place on June 27, while Eid Al-Adha will be celebrated on June 28.

The sighting of the Dhu Al-Hijjah crescent moon in Saudi Arabia marks the beginning of the month, starting on Monday, June 19. This significant event sets the stage for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage.

On Monday, June 26, pilgrims will gather at the holy site of Mina to observe the day of Tarwiyah (water provision), following the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This day serves as a preparation for the pinnacle of Hajj, as pilgrims stand at the Arafat holy site on Tuesday, June 27.

The Supreme Court had urged Muslims across Saudi Arabia to watch for the sighting of the crescent moon on Sunday evening. Its appearance signifies the arrival of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijja, concluding the current month of Dhul-Qada on the 29th.

These dates hold great significance for Muslims worldwide as they engage in sacred rituals and commemorate the story of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his willingness to sacrifice his son, which symbolizes faith, devotion, and unity.
