Mosques in Saudi Arabia are prohibited from using external loudspeakers.
Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, has ordered mosques to use four external loudspeakers for the call to prayer (adhan).
Dr. Al-Sheikh has instructed mosques to remove external loudspeakers exceeding four from all mosques and store them in a warehouse for later use or distribute them to mosques who don't have enough.
At the ministry's branch in Al-Qassim, the minister launched the Volunteer Initiatives Exhibition, which featured pavilions for mosque administration, da'wah and guidance in the governorates. As part of the expo, the current and future volunteering departments will showcase their achievements, programs, and initiatives.
