In its general budget for the fiscal year 2023, Saudi Arabia announced revenues of SR1130 billion and expenditures of SR1114 billion, a surplus of SR16 billion.
At the session of the Council of Ministers at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, King Salman announced the annual budget. “With God's blessing, we announce the state's general budget for the coming year, asking God Almighty to perpetuate the blessings of prosperity and security on our homeland,” the King said.
Mohammad bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session following the Monarch's address. The Cabinet expressed gratitude to the King for announcing the state's general budget for fiscal year 2023. After reviewing the budget items, the Cabinet approved it.
It was the Crown Prince's directive that the ministers and officials actively commit to implementing the budgetary development and social programs and projects in their respective jurisdictions.
