The Absher platform now offers a digital vehicle plate wallet service, allowing vehicle-owners to create and manage their plate ownership electronically without visiting ministry offices.
Launch of the Digital Plate Wallet Service
Ministry of Interior launched the digital vehicle plate wallet service during a ceremony in Riyadh, attended by Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al‑Bassami, Director General of Public Security, under the patronage of the Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif.
Key Features of the Service
The new service allows users to:
- Create a digital plate wallet.
- Add a plate from an existing vehicle to the wallet.
- Add a plate from a decommissioned vehicle.
- Register a plate from the wallet to a vehicle.
- Remove a plate from the wallet by assigning to a vehicle or decommissioning.
- Add a plate purchased from the electronic plate auction organised by the General Department of Traffic to the wallet.
Eligibility and Access
The service is available exclusively for plates registered under the wallet owner’s vehicles or plates won through the electronic plate auction.
