Saudi Arabia extended its Corona virus restrictions for 20 more days starting from Tonight on gatherings, events and dining services. The Ministry of Interior stated it in a statement based on what submitted by the competent health authorities regarding the measures taken by the Kingdom to face the emerging Covid-19.

The new preventive measures includes the following shutdowns and restrictions :

1. The maximum number of human gatherings for social events is 20 persons.

2. Suspending all public entertainment activities and events. 

3. Closing down cinemas, indoor entertainment centers, and independent indoor game centers or places in restaurants, malls, etc., and gyms and sports centers.

4. Suspending the provision of internal dining services in restaurants, cafes and the like, and limiting it to to delivery or take out only.

The Ministry noted the importance of everyone's commitment to this, in addition to sticking to the other precautionary measures mentioned in the previous statement, related to events, meetings, gatherings, parties, and funerals.

- The statement added that all the earlier mentioned precautionary measures are subject to continuous evaluation by the competent authorities.

- Two weeks ago, Saudi Arabia suspended entry of expats coming from 20 countries with the exception of Saudi citizens, diplomats, health practitioners and their families.
