In Mecca, an Egyptian male nurse was arrested after fatally stabbing his wife and her mother during a dispute. The nurse worked at a hospital where his wife was also employed. In a separate case, police in Riyadh apprehended a Sudanese expatriate for fatally assaulting his wife during a dispute. Both individuals held Sudanese citizenship. The arrest was part of the city's efforts to address domestic violence.
