Jeddah continues to remove rainwater that fell heavily during the past hours, as well as waste from public roads.

As a result of bad weather conditions, school and university studies were suspended today (Thursday) in Jeddah.

As the rainwater level rose in the streets, it covered the tires of the cars and reached some of the houses' entrances.

In accordance with the approved procedure for responding to weather phenomena, the Meteorological Center continues to coordinate with all agencies in Jeddah to deal with the weather conditions.

The Meteorological Center's expert, Aqil Al-Aqeel, advised the people of eastern Jeddah governorate to stay away from valleys and water pools, as well as to stay away from lighting poles.

- Last Saturday, we predicted moderate to heavy rains on the coasts of Jeddah governorate, and today, the rains were heavy over most of the governorate in the early morning hours.

Al-Aqil continued by saying, we had very heavy precipitation today, which was higher than the amount of rain recorded in 2009.
