The General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued a cautionary alert for residents across Saudi Arabia as several areas in the Kingdom are expected to encounter moderate to heavy rainfall from Sunday until Thursday.

Regions such as Makkah, including Taif, Maysaan, Adham, Al Ardiyat, Al Kamil, and Asir, Al-Baha, Jazan, Najran, and Madinah are likely to witness substantial rainfall, which could escalate to torrential downpours.

The anticipated rainfall might be accompanied by hail and active winds, raising dust and potentially affecting visibility.

Light to moderate rain and active downward winds causing dust are projected for the Makkah region, encompassing areas like Al Jumum, Bahrah, Al Qunfudhah, Al Lith, Al Muwayh, Al Khurma, Ranyah, and Turbah.

The Riyadh region will experience light rain and active downward winds that might carry dust.

Areas affected include Afif, Al Duwadimi, Al Quwaiiyah, Ar Rayn, Az Zulfi, Al Majma'ah, Al Ghat, Shaqra, Thadiq, Huraymila, Rumah, along with Jeddah, Khulais, Rabigh in the Makkah region, and Al-Qassim, Madinah, and Tabuk regions.

The Civil Defense strongly advises against approaching areas prone to heavy rain and warns against swimming in such conditions due to potential hazards.
