Category: Crime News

In a sweeping crackdown during the month of Dhul Qada 1446 AH, the General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia issued 12,711 penalties against violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations. The enforcement included imprisonment and deportation measures, reinforcing the Kingdom’s zero-tolerance policy against violations.

Strict Penalties Imposed on Lawbreakers

The Passports Directorate confirmed that its regional committees had taken administrative actions resulting in imprisonment and deportation for those found violating the country’s laws. This latest effort highlights the Saudi government's commitment to maintaining national security and regulating the presence of expatriates within its borders.

Public Urged to Cooperate and Report Violators

Authorities have urged all citizens, residents, employers, and individuals to avoid any involvement in transporting, employing, or sheltering individuals who are in violation of Saudi Arabia’s residency, labor, or border laws. Violators may face severe penalties if caught aiding such individuals.

How to Report Residency or Labor Law Violations

The public is encouraged to report any violations through the official helplines. Dial 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 in other regions of the Kingdom to alert the authorities.

Enforcement Efforts Tied to National Security

The initiative is part of a broader effort to protect the Kingdom’s labor market and ensure that all residents and workers comply with national laws. These penalties serve as a stern warning to both violators and those who assist them.
