Rain alerts have been issued for Jeddah, Rabigh, and Al-Kamil by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
Residents of Makkah were also warned of heavy rain starting Sunday evening. It will remain active until 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
Center forecasts moderate to heavy rains accompanied by high waves, hail, torrential rains, and low visibility with moderate to heavy rains.
It is expected that heavy rain will fall from Sunday evening on Jeddah, Thuwal, Rabigh, Al-Kamil, the Holy Capital, Taif, Al-Hada, Al-Shifa, Al-Shuaiba and Al-Laith, according to Center CEO Dr. Ayman Ghulam.
The heavy rain covers the Madinah region and its provinces, including the coasts, and then extends eastward to the Riyadh, Hail and Qassim regions, as well as the eastern, northeastern, and northern regions, including Al-Jouf and the Northern Border Region,” he noted.
Northern Saudi Arabia will experience heavy snowfall, and thick fog will form early Monday morning,” he said.
