Saudi Arabia's Jawazat (The General Directorate of Passports) has started extending the validity of exit re-entry visas for 3 months without any charge to those re-entry visas that expiry date in between 25th Feb 2020 to 24th May 2020.

The implementation was the directive from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to extend exit re entry visas, iqamas in a effort to deal with the effects and results of the global pandemic Coronavirus in order to take precautionary measures that gaurantee the safety and health of citizens and expatriates to confront financial and economic impacts.

- The extension of exit re-entry visas includes expatriates of commercial and industrial professions of the Kingdom and whose visas were not used during the period of suspension of entry and exit through the Saudi Arabia's Airports and other ports.

- According to the Jawazat, The extension of exit re-entry is done automatically from the system, There is no need to visit to the Jawazat offices, It was done with cooperation of National Information Center and the Ministry of Finance. Expatriates can check their extension service provided to them electronically by logging in to their Absher account.

- Earlier this, Saudi Arabia's Jawazat extended Iqamas (Residence permits) of expats for 3 months without any fee, in order to implement the directive issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi Arabia's King Salman.
