The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has listed the advantages of the Muqeem digital identity (Digital Iqama), which is an electronic version of the Muqeem ID, which is available through the “Absher Individuals (Afrad)” application.
The Saudi Jawazat through its official Twitter account said that Muqeem's digital identity (Digital Iqama) contributes to easing the process of verifying the identity of its holders in the case they do not carry the original iqama or identity.
- The Jawazat explained that the Muqeem digital identity (Digital iqama) includes the variable QR Code, stating that a copy of it can be downloaded to a smartphone device to benefit from it without the need to connect to the Internet.
