According to Okaz/Saudi Gazette, 153,347 Saudis left their jobs during the first half of 2022.

A total of 89,000 Saudi working men and women resigned. It represents more than 58 percent of the total number of Saudi employees whose subscriptions were suspended by the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI).

The monitoring revealed that the Saudi employees gave 19 reasons for quitting their jobs, with resignation accounting for the majority.

Another reason was the expiration of the employment contract and the employer's unwillingness to renew it. During the half-month period, more than 15,000 Saudis fell into this category. Ten percent of the total GOSI subscribers belong to them.

Thirdly, the contract was terminated during probation and training. Approximately 14,000 males and females made up their workforce, representing 9.28 percent. About 81,000 Saudi men and 72,000 Saudi women left their jobs in the first half of this year.

Women stop working for a variety of reasons, but the most common reason is the end of the contract and the non-renewal of the contract by both parties. The number of women reached 2089, while the number of men reached 1642.
