The General Directorate of Public Security announces new restrictions for Hajj 1444, with non-permit-holding residents banned from entering Makkah starting Monday. 

The new regulations require all residents who wish to enter the Holy Capital to obtain an entry permit from competent authorities. 

Failure to obtain a permit will result in being turned away from security control points on roads leading to Makkah. 

The instructions for organizing Hajj specify that only those with entry permits issued by the competent authority, a resident's identity card issued in the Holy Capital, or an Umrah or Hajj permit will be allowed to enter.

The General Directorate of Passports has now made it possible for domestic workers, non-Saudi family members, workers residing in establishments based in the Holy Capital, seasonal work visa holders, and contractors with those establishments registered in the "Ajeer" system to apply for entry permits electronically. 

This move is aimed at making the process more accessible and user-friendly. The "Absher Individuals" platform provides permits for domestic workers and non-Saudi family members, while the electronic "Muqeem" portal is accessible for all agencies seeking entry permits to the Holy Capital.
