Fine For Vehicle Drivers Who Bypass Stopped School Buses - Moroor Saudi Arabia
Category: Traffic

The General Directorate of Traffic (Moroor) in Saudi Arabia has reiterated the fines imposed on drivers who overtake school buses while they are stopped for loading or unloading students. This important safety measure aims to protect both drivers and students.

The official Twitter account of the General Traffic Department stated, "Bypassing buses when they stop for loading or unloading students is a traffic violation, with fines ranging from 3,000 riyals to 6,000 riyals."

The Saudi Moroor emphasizes that drivers should not attempt to pass school buses on the road to ensure the safety of all road users, especially students. This directive is in place to safeguard the well-being of students.

Additionally, the authority highlighted that parking vehicles on sidewalks or pathways designated for pedestrians not only hinders public movement but also poses a danger to lives. The Moroor calls on all drivers to adhere to designated parking areas around schools to maintain student safety.

In a previous announcement, Moroor urged drivers to observe speed limits near educational buildings and to prioritize students' safety while they cross the road.

These efforts from the Saudi Traffic Department across various regions aim to ensure a safe return to school for all students on the first day of the new academic year.
