Saudi Arabia's General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) revealed the penalty imposed on employers who allow their workers to work for others or on their own account.
The Jaawazat official Twitter account stated that penalties, including imprisonment, fines and bans from hiring, will be imposed on employers who allow their workers to work for others (particularly those who sell it in Azad or free visa) or who allow them to work for their own accounts.
It carries a fine of 100,000 riyals, a jail term of up to 6 months, and a recruitment ban for up to 5 years.
Saudi Jawazat called everyone to report violations of the residency, work and border security regulations on two numbers: 911 for Riyadh, Makkah and the Eastern Province, and 999 for all other Saudi regions.
