Eid Al-Fitr Holiday: Schools In Saudi Arabia Close, Private Sector Gets 4-Day Break

In Saudi Arabia, schools have closed for the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. The holiday began on Thursday, Ramadan 22, and will apply to general education schools for boys and girls, as well as administrative and educational staff.
The students will return to school on Wednesday, Shawwal 6, after a 12-day break to complete the third and final semester of the current academic year. They will have their last long weekend on May 28-29 before the academic year of 1444 AH ends on June 22.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) has announced that the private sector and non-profit sector will get a 4-day break for Eid Al-Fitr starting on Thursday, April 20, corresponding to Ramadan 29.
