Saudi Arabia's Environmental Security Forces confirmed that setting fire to vegetation or places other than designated places is an environmental violation, and penalties were instituted for violating this rule.

According to the Environmental Security Special Forces' official Twitter account, setting fire in protected areas can result in a fine of up to 20,000 Riyals.

As per Environmental Security Forces, the fine for setting fires on vegetation lands in Saudi Arabia is up to 3,000 riyals.

Hunting licenses, places and times are also set by the Special Forces for Environmental Security.

Without a license, hunting is punishable by 10,000 riyals, while without a wild hunting license, it is punishable by 10,000 riyals.

Additionally, the authority confirmed that the penalty for hunting in seasons and times when wild hunting is prohibited, as well as the penalty for hunting in places where wild hunting is prohibited, will be 5,000 riyals.

- The Special Forces for Environmental Security highlighted that destroying or damaging eggs, nests or habitus of wild fungal organisms, their fines reach no more than 1 million riyals, and the value of the violation depends on the severity of the violation, as set by the council.

Citizens and residents of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province are requested to report any assault on the environment or wildlife to 911, 999, or 996 for the rest of the Kingdom.
