According to the example set by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Holy Kaaba is washed.
Holy Kaaba is traditionally washed from the inside by the Saudi monarch or his representative. Kaaba walls are wiped with towels. White cloths soaked in rose and musk perfume are used to clean the interior walls. A mixture of Zamzam water and rose perfume is splashed on the floor and wiped off with palm leaves and bare hands.
