Six people, including three expatriates, lost their lives in two separate road accidents in Saudi Arabia.
Five victims perished in a collision involving a vehicle and a water tank in the Muhayil governorate, located in south-western Saudi Arabia, as reported by Saudi news outlet Sabq.
The second accident occurred on Tuesday in the south-western governorate of Rijal Almaa, resulting in the death of a teacher.
The causes of the accidents and the nationalities of the victims have not yet been disclosed.
Despite ongoing efforts to reduce reckless driving, Saudi Arabia has experienced a series of road accidents in recent months.
In March, four Arab expatriates were killed in a vehicle overturn in the north-western region.
In January, a collision in Muhayil claimed the lives of four young men, and in November, a three-car crash in the south-west resulted in eight fatalities.
September saw a bus accident in Al Wajh that left four dead and seven injured. Overall, 4,555 traffic-related deaths were recorded in Saudi Arabia in 2022.
Health Minister Fahd Al Jalajel, head of the Traffic Safety Committee, recently announced a 50% reduction in traffic accident fatalities.
