Saudi Arabia's Municipality of Madina region has launched the first fast charging service for electric cars in the region, at the intersection of Sultana Road and Khalid bin Al Waleed Road.
Saudi citizens and resident expatriates will be encouraged to use the new charging service station in order to reduce carbon emissions and achieve environmental compliance.
As stated by the authorities, they will comply with safety requirements, specifications, and international standards. With a current of 6 to 32 amps and a voltage of 220 volts, the Tesla Wall connector is able to charge the electric car in a maximum of 8 hours.
This is the first time an electric car charging system has been introduced in Madina. It has been reported that this service will be launched in 7 different locations, including three in the central area, Uhud Avenue, Airport Road, Al-Abbas bin Ubadah Walak, and Omar bin Al-Khattab Road.
