Shisha Continues To Be Banned In Closed Places By Saudi Public Health Authority
Category: Saudi Arabia

According to the Public Health Authority (Weqaya) of Saudi Arabia, molasses and hookahs (shisha) are still illegal in closed places and can only be served in open places.

Following the latest update to the protocols for restaurants and cafes, the Ministry of Interior announced that all precautionary and preventive measures related to fighting the Corona pandemic would be lifted.

1. It is not necessary to wear masks in closed places, except at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and at the Prophet's Mosque in Madina, as well as in places where protocols have been issued by the Public Health Authority, and in companies, activities, events, and public transportation that wish to apply higher levels of continuity of protection, which require wearing masks while raising awareness and urging their use.

2. Tawakkalna applications do not require immunizations or health verification to enter facilities, occasions, events, or to board planes and public transportation, except for those whose nature requires immunization, continuing to verify health status, as per the public health regulations in Weqaya, or facilities, occasions, events, or public transportation that wish to implement higher levels of protection by continuing to require immunizations or health verifications.

3. With the exception of the age groups specified or exempted by the Ministry of health based on their Tawakkalna status, the duration of time to take the 3rd booster dose of the Corona vaccine to leave the Kingdom is 8 months rather than 3 months from receiving the 2nd dose.
