Saudis Travelling To Non-Arab Countries Must Have A Passport Valid For Over Six Months
Category: Travel

Passports for Saudis planning to travel to non-Arab countries must have more than six months remaining validity, according to the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat). On its Twitter account, Jawazat explained the requirements for Saudis to travel abroad.

For traveling to Arab countries, the passport must have a validity of at least three months. A national ID card must be valid for more than three months for citizens travelling to other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

The Jawazat reiterated that the soft copy of the national identification on Absher and Tawakkalna applications is insufficient for travel to GCC states. In addition to the original ID card and the family registry, a proof of the existence of dependents inside the Kingdom who are unable to travel to the Gulf countries is also required.

Saudis traveling outside the Kingdom are required to receive three doses of a coronavirus vaccine or haven't passed three months since receiving the second dose.

Individuals who have been granted an exception on medical grounds will be exempted, according to the Tawakkalna application status.

Those under the age of 16 and 12 are required to receive two doses of the vaccine, according to the Jawazat. Children under the age of 12 are required to carry an insurance policy against Coronavirus when traveling outside the Kingdom, Jawazat sources said.
