The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) has released detailed official holiday schedules and working hours for banks, money exchange centres, payment service providers, and the RTGS system from 2026 to 2029. These measures aim to ensure continuous financial services while respecting religious and national observances.

Eid al-Fitr & Eid al-Adha Holidays (2026-2029)

For Banks & Financial Institutions

• Eid al-Fitr:
  • 2026: March 17–23
  • 2027: March 7–11
  • 2028: February 27–March 2
  • 2029: February 12–18
• Eid al-Adha:
  • 2026: May 24–28
  • 2027: May 16–20
  • 2028: May 3–9
  • 2029: April 22–26

For RTGS System

• Eid al-Fitr:
  • 2026: March 19–22
  • 2027: March 8–10
  • 2028: February 27–28
  • 2029: February 13–15
• Eid al-Adha:
  • 2026: May 26–28
  • 2027: May 16–18
  • 2028: May 4–7
  • 2029: April 23–25

Other Official Holidays

• Saudi National Day: September 23. (If it falls on Friday → moves to Thursday. If Saturday → moves to Sunday.)

• Founding Day: February 22, with same weekend adjustment rules.

Working Hours During Ramadan

• Banks with clients: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• Remittance centres & payment service providers: Six-hour shifts between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

• RTGS: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., clearing houses according to system schedules.

Special Provisions

Hajj Season Services

Seasonal branches of banks, exchange centres, and payment providers in Makkah, Madinah, airports, seaports, and border crossings will remain open (also on weekends) to serve pilgrims and visitors.

Additional Service Branches During Holidays

Some branches located in residential and high-demand areas will remain open during holiday periods; their names and working hours will be publicly announced by SAMA.
