According to the report of the Saudi Supreme Court, on Saturday the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia announced that the holy month of Ramadan ends on Sunday (May 1), and Eid Al-Fitr will begin on Monday (May 2).
The Saudi Press Agency quoted the Supreme Court as saying: "The Supreme Court announced that following reports from the courts based on testimony from experts that the moon of Shawal had not been seen. Therefore, it has been decided that Sunday 30/9/1443AH is the date the moon of Shawal will be seen. The last day of Ramadan in the Umm Al-Qura calendar corresponds to May 1 and May 2 is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr in the Umm Al-Qura calendar corresponds to May 2.
On the advent of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, the Supreme Court congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, all citizens, residents, and Muslims.
