The Ministry of Interior recently issued additional travel restrictions, which went into effect on Wednesday.
All Saudi nationals must receive a booster dose of the coronavirus vaccination for travel outside the Kingdom beginning Feb. 9, according to new laws. Citizens who have completed three months after getting the second dosage of the vaccination will be eligible.
Those under the age of 16 or those who have been granted a medical exemption from having the vaccination are excused from taking the booster dosage, and their status on the Tawakkalna application must reflect this.
According to the ministry, all passengers, including Saudis, coming in the Kingdom must provide an approved negative PCR test or negative antigen test result issued within 48 hours of their departure date or date of admission into the Kingdom, regardless of their vaccination status.
Because of the legislation governing coronavirus infection management in their countries of origin, children under the age of eight are exempt from the testing.
Citizens who have tested positive for coronavirus will be able to enter the Kingdom without having to undergo a PCR test as long as seven days have passed since they tested positive and they have received the Kingdom-approved vaccination doses.
If a Saudi visitor has not received all of the recommended vaccination doses, they will be permitted back into the country after 10 days if they test positive for the virus. There will be no need for a PCR test.
The new limits, according to the ministry, were implemented in response to continual monitoring of the epidemiological situation locally and worldwide, as well as part of the Kingdom's efforts to combat the spread of COVID -19 and protect public health.
