Saudi Arabia will become the first country to host the FIFA World Cup in its expanded format featuring 48 countries. This marks an increase of 16 teams compared to the 2022 Qatar World Cup. The 2026 edition will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, while the 2030 World Cup will feature six host nations, making Saudi Arabia the sole host for 2034.
