Riyadh Hospitals Receive Hundreds Of Patients Due To A Sandstorm

Around 1,285 people with respiratory problems were sent to hospitals by a sandstorm that blanketed Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh on Tuesday, according to Saudi news portal Sabq.

As a result of the storm, which originated in Iraq, Riyadh and the Eastern Province experienced low visibility and hospitals were put on high alert.

Health authorities have recommended wearing face masks for people with respiratory problems such as asthma.

According to the Saudi National Centre for Meteorology, dust clouds will continue to affect visibility in parts of Riyadh, Eastern Province, as well as parts of Mecca and Medina as well as Asir in south-western Saudi Arabia and the central region of Qassim on Wednesday.
