An urgent surgical intervention by a Saudi medical team saved a Pakistani pilgrim's life.
An urgent surgery was performed by the neurosurgery department of King Abdulaziz Hospital, a member of Makkah Health Cluster, to save the life of a 65-year-old pilgrim, according to the Ministry of Health. As a result of the successful operation, the patient was fully recovered and discharged from the hospital in good health.
When the pilgrim was brought to the hospital's emergency department, she was in a complete coma and had difficulty breathing. Medical examinations and ultrasound scans revealed that she had suffered a massive cerebral hemorrhage.
The skull was opened and the bleeding was stopped during the operation. The patient was then transferred to the intensive care unit and then to the neurosurgery department until she recovered fully.
