Saudi man donated the organs of his 20-year-old brain-dead daughter to the Saudi Centre for Organ Transplantation, saving the lives of five patients.
It was decided to remove the daughter's heart, kidneys, lungs, and liver in order to give them to five patients who had an organic deficiency disease.
The father was thanked by the families of the five patients.
The Ministry of Health announced on Monday that a medical team had successfully transferred organs from a brain-dead man to another patient at King Faisal Specialist Hospital.
The ministry coordinated with the donor's family before the transplant.
The ministry reported receiving assistance through an air evacuation and preparing a field ambulance team to follow up the transport process to complete the organ transplant.
According to King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the center's organ donation program aims to achieve the same goals as organ transplants.
In an effort to reduce the waiting list for patients, King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have registered in the organ donation program.
