The National Center of Meteorology (NMC) has officially declared that the summer season will commence in Saudi Arabia starting June 1st this year. As per the NMC's forecast, temperatures are expected to soar in the eastern and central regions, while the Kingdom's popular summer retreats are anticipated to witness above-average rainfall.
Hussein Al-Qahtani, spokesperson for the NMC, highlighted that initial assessments indicate the onset of extremely hot conditions during the forthcoming summer season. Recent weeks have already seen a gradual increase in temperatures across various parts of the Kingdom, marking the transition from spring to summer. Additionally, certain regions of Saudi Arabia have experienced weather fluctuations, including intermittent rain and sandstorms in recent days.
