Most governorates in the Makkah region will experience moderate to heavy rain between Wednesday and Friday, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM
NCM spokesman Hussein Al-Qahtani said in a statement that the current rainfall in Jeddah is not comparable to the torrential rain that hit Jeddah on Nov. 24.
In the Jeddah governorate, the NCM has raised the alert level to an "advanced alert" of moderate to heavy rains beginning at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday and ending at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Al-Qahtani predicted surface winds, high waves, hail, torrential rains, and low visibility with the rain.

On Wednesday through Friday, the Makkah region will experience moderate to heavy rain, including Makkah city, Jeddah, Rabigh, Taif, Jumum, Al-Kamel, Khulais, Bahra, Allaith, Qunfudhah, Al-Ardiyat, Adham, and Maisan.
In the meantime, the General Directorate of Civil Defense urged everyone to take precaution and stay away from valleys, torrents, dams, water pools, lighting poles, generators, and operating rooms on the streets.
