Saudi Arabia's Public Prosecution has warned against falsifying electronic records, electronic signatures, or digital certification certificates, or using any of those with the intention of forging them
A fine of up to 5 million riyals and up to 5 years in prison are the penalties for such violations, according to the Saudi Public Prosecution.
According to the Public Prosecution's official Twitter handle, "Protected interests determine more confidence in electronic transactions, signatures, and records, and any fraudulent practices against these are considered major crimes that require arrest".
A Saudi Public Prosecution infographic reveals the penalties for such crimes and violations, which include the following.
* Up to 5 million riyals in fines.
* Five years' imprisonment is possible.
* Judged judgements are published after they have been finalized
* Devices, systems, and software used in committing such violations are seized.
