Oudista is a Saudi platform for learning the oud, teaching players from complete beginner through to advanced level. It describes itself as the first of its kind in the Kingdom. Lessons are delivered remotely, and the teaching concentrates on playing by ear and on Khaleeji rhythms, in a style the academy describes as easy to follow and enjoyable for every level of player. Students are supported through a Telegram channel where they can ask questions during the course and share their progress with other students. The academy is led by Mohammed, who has played and recorded more than 300 complete songs on the oud with percussion, has composed more than ten songs of his own, and has studied sound engineering, which he uses to produce the lessons at high audio quality.
